It was Lucy Lawless’ birthday 2 days ago. She’s 50 and still hot. This has nothing to do with my work, but I slowly realise that watching Xena in my formative years has truly affected my opinions. The Greek myths had been butchered in those shows but we all liked watching it, despite the mess. It was good, fun, trash TV.
Entertainment, which is exactly the kind of business I’m in.
I’m currently working on The Girl Who Twisted Fate’s Arm in audiobook, it’s produced by John York. It’s my first full-length novel and I realise now that Bremusa (The raging female) is pretty much Xena in modern Athens. The only difference is that she’s not the leader, but a very strong supportive warrior to Antioche and then to Aura.
It has been long enough that the story is kinda fresh as I reread it. It’s funny going through Aura’s journey again. I like being reminded of the subtle plotlines I’ve woven in that story.
So, check out the book. Get it on paperback. And soon, you’ll be able to enjoy it in audiobook format. So that you too, can be a kickass and delicate feminine flower.
