I watch a lot of things, and I got tired of finding out what a movie is really like only after the credits. So I built a small Stremio addon that puts the woke score right on the movie page.

The score row sits between the rating and Genres, with the biggest scoring factors underneath it.

Series work the same way. Dexter is older than the Is It Woke or Not window, so that source reads not reviewed, while the other scorers still return a number.

Same with Supernatural, which runs 2005 to 2020: outside the one site’s range, scored by the others.
What it does
It adds a WOKE SCORE row to every movie and series page in Stremio, right above Genres, carrying every source that has actually scored that title:
- Is It Woke or Not? (isitwokeornot.com) – a hand-written editorial score from 0 to 100, covering titles from 2016 onward.
- isitwoke.io – an AI analysis that also gives a verdict label, from "Absolute Cinema" up to "Certified Woke Trash".
- wokeometer.app – an AI score published 0-10, scaled to 0-100 here and matched by TMDB id.
- wokealyzer.com – an AI score published 0-10, scaled the same way and matched by IMDb id, with its own theme breakdown.
- Woke Movie Score, Wokeness Ratings and Virtue Vigil – three smaller scorers, treated the same way.
When two or more sources have scored a title, the row leads with an Overall figure: a weighted average of the ones that answered, with the gap between the lowest and the highest in brackets when they disagree. Wokealyzer counts double, because across a 22-title sample it tracked the one human-editorial source most closely (rank correlation 0.90, average gap 10.7 points). Nothing else on the page is touched: the poster, background, cast and episode list stay exactly as they are, and Stremio’s own IMDb badge is left alone.
The sources cover different catalogues, so a title can show one number, all of them, or a plain "not reviewed" when nobody has scored it yet. The Matrix only exists on isitwoke.io (24%), and so does Game of Thrones (25%).

They can disagree too: Dune: Prophecy reads 44% on Is It Woke or Not and 90% on isitwoke.io.
Every score is also a page
Each chip links to our own page for that title at metawokecritic.com, which carries the full breakdown: every source and its number, the theme scores (Identity Politics, Oikophobia, Feminism, LGBTQ+, Anti-Theism, plus Bossbabes and Emasculation, judged from the synopsis and the scorers’ own notes), a written summary of what is woke about it, the plot synopsis, and, where a screenplay exists, an analysis of the actual script. The sources are credited underneath our verdict, not the other way round, because the point is that you do not have to open five sites to find out.
Browse movies, series and games, sort any list by most woke, least woke or popularity, read the methodology behind the aggregate, or catch the weekly rankings.
Install it (about 30 seconds)
- In Stremio, open Addons and click Add addon.
- Paste this URL:
https://metawokecritic.com/eyJ2IjoyfQ/manifest.json- Click Install, then restart Stremio.
Nothing opens? Use the install page — it works on phones and TVs too, and it carries the URL to paste if the app is on another device.
Order only matters for the chips: the row of score chips next to Genres shows when this addon sits above Cinemeta, because Stremio renders whichever metadata addon answers first — and on phones and TVs that chip row is not drawn at all. So the score is also put where order does not matter: as the first line of the description, as an entry at the top of the sources list, and in the Discover rows. Install it, put it first if you want the chips, and the rest works either way.
It asks each site only once
Every title is looked up once and then stored in SQLite on my server. After that the addon answers from its own database: no repeated lookups, no rate limits, and anybody else opening the same title gets the stored scores instantly. Titles the sites do not cover are remembered as unreviewed too, so they are never queried again either. A weekly job picks up new releases and scores them, so the database fills in on its own.
Source
Want to run your own copy? The complete source is on GitHub: glowleaf/is-it-woke-stremio-plugin.
It has zero dependencies, runs on Node 18 or newer, ships with a systemd unit, and works fine behind a Cloudflare tunnel on whatever box you already have.
A note on the numbers
The scores are the sources’ own editorial and AI judgements, not objective facts, and on all of them a lower number means less woke. The aggregate is arithmetic on their numbers, with the weights published on the methodology page. This addon is not affiliated with any of the sources or with Stremio.
