Series like 13 Reasons Why, are the reason I support Netflix. Even though the content selection is limited in Greece, they are the ones betting on edgy series, supporting indie filmmakers and making shows I actually want to see. The subscription is tiny compared to the value of the content, if you wanna be legitimate and not pirate stuff. Oxygen was one of the best Doctor Who episodes ever. He shines best when he’s got no sonic, no tardis and everything is bleak. I sensed a bit of Iain Banks in the smartsuits. David Duckovny said that he accepted the part because he liked Moody’s relationship with Becca, the daughter. I can totally see that, their chemistry is pretty, the little actress is very interesting and the writing of their dialogue is sublime. Yeah, sorry to dissapoint, we writers aren’t like in Californication. Bukowski , who the character is based of, might have been. But it’s mostly the wet dreams of writers in tv script form. Still, it’s fun to watch as he messes up his life in new and unexpected ways. Plus it’s full of sex scenes. This season of Doctor Who is very calm and quiet. A far cry from the Tennant days, ok, he was hyperactive, but even with Clara/Capaldi there was more nerve on screen. Matt Smith also had that physical energy, very animated. Now, Capaldi is calm, Bill is rather quiet and wide-eyed, it’s all so serene. Don’t get me wrong, I like it.
