Process to make an entire book with AI

– Export book 1 to text.

– copy all notes and drafts to folder as md files.

– Select plan mode in cursor. Using Claude 4.6 opus (it’s not cheap but it does wonders)

– tell cursor we are writing book 2. Work only in this folder. Write separate file for each chapter. Write scene list and story bible. Ask me questions about how the story progresses.

The new questions mode in cursor are a game changer. You could do it before but now it works so well.

Plan the entire book 2. Once satisfied, hit agent mode to start writing.

Wait for the results.

Then you go through the files, do an edit pass with a cheaper model. See if it went astray somewhere, it always does.

And check everything .

Let the book rest for a day or two.

Come back to it with fresh eyes.

Make cover if you don’t have it already. (I always make the cover while working on the story, I’m a visual person and it helps me form the story and the feel of it in my mind).

Import files in scrivener.

Publish.
