To all the people who don’t understand why I hate pixel art: Game artists used to work around the old CRT TVs. This technique allowed them to reach more detailed and smooth lines, some effects are lost now that people just play the games on a normal screen most of the times.

You can see a massive difference in the way pixel art is shown on modern, sharp monitors. It was clearly never meant to look this sharp and angular. In a way, you’re not bringing back the nostalgia of pixel art, you’re distorting the feel it used to have by poor rendering.
